As all of our products are green tea based, they do contain a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine. In all of our Iced Green Teas, there is approximately 15mg of caffeine per beverage, while our Cactus Water beverages have 12mg of caffeine per can. Our energy drinks contain approximately 100mg of naturally occurring caffeine per can. All of this caffeine is derived from plants, with the main sources being Organic Guarana, Organic Yerba Mate and Organic Green Tea.
We do not use refined sugar in any of our products. Rather, our regular beverages are lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar, a more natural, “wholesome” sweetener. On the other hand, our zero calorie beverages are sweetened with stevia meaning no sugar, no carbs, no calories and still all natural!
Steaz only sources fair trade tea and cane sugar (for our products that are sweetened) because we believe it’s the right thing to do. Fair trade is good for the environment, it’s good for farmers who grow our ingredients and it’s good for you because you get only the highest-quality ingredients in every can of Steaz.
Yes, all of our beverages are gluten-free! However, please take note that our beverages may have been bottled in a brewery that also produces wheat products.
Yes, all of our products are certified vegan with the exception of Steaz Organic Grapefruit Honey.
Yes, all of our beverages are kosher certified!
There were two goals in eliminating glass bottles: the first was to create a cohesive line of beverages that are all packaged in aluminum cans and the second goal was to reduce Steaz’s carbon footprint. Aluminum is the most recycled of all packaging materials in the U.S., higher than glass and PET or plastic. Aluminum cans are much lighter than glass bottles, which reduce shipping and transportation requirements, therefore minimizing Steaz’s environmental impact.
Yes, like most aluminum cans in the market, Steaz cans have BPA epoxy in the linings. At present these cans remain a safe and environmental choice in the beverage market. All components of packages that come into contact with food or beverages undergo stringent testing and must comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. Our beverage cans exceed federal and state health and safety standards. Steaz supports industry efforts to develop a completely BPA free can. Until then we are using the highest quality packaging for beverages on the market today.
